Overview: The East region has been mildly predictable if you can believe it or not. Seven of the top eight seeds advancing to the ‘Round of 32,’ while three of the top four seeds will continue to play on in the ‘Sweet Sixteen.’ If Villanova continues the level of play they’ve been at, they should be able to take care of number 5 West Virginia. We don’t necessarily see this game being a blowout, but we do see Villanova winning from anywhere in the 8-14 point range. Purdue snuck by Butler, but Texas Tech is a different ‘animal.’ Prior to the Haas injury, Purdue was likely a Final Four favorite, but it’s tough without your starting big man. We think this will be a closely contest contest, but Texas Tech will pull away late, as they take advantage of the lack of presence inside.
