Fantasy Basketball Waivers (1/31)

  • PF Jarrett Allen (Brooklyn Nets): Head coach Kenny Atkinson has insisted he’s been impressed with Allen’s play as of late, and iterated how Allen should be in line to receive more minutes down the stretch. So far, he’s seen at least twenty minutes in 4 out of his last 5 contests, and if he continues to play well, it certainly puts pressure on Atkinson to increase them further.

  • PF Montrezl Harell (Los Angeles Clippers): This one is simple, Griffin is no longer an option in the LA front court, which could bold well for Harell as the all-star break approaches. Tobias Harris will be the premiere PF moving forward, but one could expect to see Harell’s minutes increase drastically.

  • PG Bryn Forbes (San Antonio Spurs): Forbes put up a career high 23 points in his most recent contest, and is beginning to see over 25 minutes consistently every night. Obviously with Gregg Popovich infamously always resting players, this may be a temporary adjustment, so owners may want to keep an eye on the situation before jumping the gun, and adding Forbes.

  • G Terry Rozier (Boston Celtics): With Kyrie Irving, and Marcus Smart both nursing minor injuries, Rozier will see a short term minutes increase over the next few games. He is an ideal short term bench stash for Irving/Smart owners, but once those two have their injuries behind them, Rozier doesn’t need to be involved in any fantasy format. He’s a good short term insurance policy in the meantime.

  • G/F Reggie Bullock (Detroit Pistons): With Avery Bradley, and Tobias Harris no longer in the picture, Bullock now has an opportunity to increase production. He’s off to a great start with the absence of two former essential offensive pieces, however Griffin’s arrival should slightly level out his production. Even with Griffin’s arrival, Bullock is definitely worth keeping an eye on to either play matchup with, or stash for bench depth.
